John M. Polimeni is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He earned a Ph.D. in Ecological Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a M.A. in Economics (specialization in financial economics) at the State University of New York at Albany, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, he has a Certificate in Graduate Studies in Regulatory Economics from the State University of New York at Albany in conjunction with the NYS Public Service Commission. He has published54 scientifically peer-reviewed articles and four books. John has given over 70 international speeches. His area of expertise is in ecological economics, sustainable economic development, and energy economics. John also serves on the Schenectady (N.Y.) City Council.
